This is part one of my recent, last-minute, trip to Seattle and Vancouver (March 2015).  I began the trip in downtown Seattle itself and walked around the city to check out the various sights.  It was a beautiful day!
Near Pike Place Market
I started out near Pike Place Market relatively early in the morning (for me).  Managed not to buy anything but I was sorely tempted to get some hot sauce made locally at one of the stalls inside.  Guess I'll have to go back!
Inside Pike Place Market
After the market walk I ventured over to the Space Needle on foot.  Got to see some beautiful architecture along the way while enjoying a delicious Starbucks coffee to keep my energy up.  Seeing the Space Needle up close is trule breathtaking and I hope my pictures of it do the experience some justice.

Yours truly!
After the Space Needle I had an interlude where I went towards Capitol Hill to get a much-needed haircut at a local salon called Raven Cuts.  Pretty great little spot for a haircut and some conversation!

I had a brief (late) lunch shortly after and walked back into the downtown area to plan my next couple days in Seattle.  After sorting out a rental car and some outdoorsy plans I walked back down towards Waterfront Park and caught a beautiful sunset over Elliot Bay.
Waiting for my haircut earlier in the day.  Had to post this one :).
